Reading. Heartbeat, Home of the Brave, All the Broken Pieces, I said, aha...what an interesting read. Then I read Locomotion, Braids, Brown Girl Dreaming, Crossover, Poet X and many more. Exploring the intriguing relationship between lyric and narrative is where I often found myself on the page of every new read. Wondering .... every time I slipped into a new novel in verse ....would it tango like Josh and JB, or lay some tracks on paper as smooth as Xaviera? I could not wait to experience those emotions of rhythmic vibe as I transformed that rhyme/ verse to my mind and the meaning of my life. Transformation became the name of my book game. Diverse novels in verse became my reading life.
